Unmask Private Blocked Calls on iPhone
Trapcall is an app and service for iPhone that claims it is the only app of its kind to offer the features it has. How this app works is, when you get an incoming call that is from a private / blocked number, just double tap the sleep / wake button to reject the call and the call is directly sent to TrapCall for unmasking. This call is then, within few seconds, unmasked and sent back to your iPhone. The app can even send the name and address associated with that number via text or push messages. The service is “US only” and AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint are supported.
This app has been recently approved by Apple’s App Store review team after a wait of 201 days. But normally from the experience of friends, it appears that the time taken to review an app is about 2 weeks at the app store. So, it’s surprising when TrapCall is an exception. TrapCall is a paid service from Teltech Systems. Announcing a list of mobile applications, TrapCall said that the app has other interesting features such as blocking phone numbers, playing a recorded message for blacklisted numbers and even giving alerts about missed calls. The iPhone app is available for free on the App Store, but I dobt how long it will be available on the app store.
