Actually Lancia has tried to change the look of the latest generation of Ypsilion by removing the accent on the sport car and moving it to the elegant and luxurios one.
The model is built on a Fiat 500 platform and the evolution of the sisters offer a range of engines consists of two petrol units: 1.2 8v with a 69 horse power and 0.9 TwinAir that develops 85 hp. The front is populated with the powerful turbo diesel 1.3-liter Multijet II, which produces 95 hp.
At technology chapter the producers have proposed the systems “Blue & Me – TomTom LIVE” and “Fuel Smart” Magic Parking, Xenon headlights and LED taillights. In some markets, including Britain and Ireland, the new Lancia Ypsilon will wear the Chrysler Logo.
The first official images show a car the rather similar to the French model from Citroen, the C1. The curve lines and the front side of the Ypsilon display a powerful and in the same time playful look while the interior is rather taken from a spaceship.
