Indian Way of Losing Weight

The common suggestion in India to lose weight and control obesity is to consume 15 grams of honey along with glass of warm water everyday morning on an empty stomach. The dosage can be slightly increased later.

It is also common to control weight by drinking, first thing in the morning, a glass of warm water containing one half a lime and half teaspoon honey. This recipe should be taken every few hours in a day.

Consuming a handful (ten or so) full curry leaves every day in the morning for three months should show positive results.

On an empty stomach, eat one or two tomatoes, every day in the morning. This should replace breakfast and should be followed for few months to see positive results.

In a glass of boiling water, add ginger and lemon. Now, drain the water. Have this warm water as an opposite of appetizer. This helps to suppress appetite.

Create the following mix of three teaspoons of lime juice, a quarter teaspoon of black pepper, and a teaspoon of honey to a cup of water. Keep drinking this everyday for three months and see results.

Indian plum leaves should be soak in water for a whole night. This water has to be drained and consumed on an empty stomach for a month.

Cabbage is considered good for weight loss, so eat cabbage everyday. It helps in preventing carbohydrates / sugar from getting converted to fat as it has tartaric acid and hence will help keeping weight in control.

Consuming a glass of carrot juice and water is also considered to be a remedy.

Eat plenty of french beans, jackfruit, grapes, fig, peaches and guava.

Green tea with dandelion root is considered good for weignt loss.

When you are tense or stressed out, it is not right to take meals then. Also, eating meals in small portions every two to three hours is suggested. Skipping meals completely should be avoided. After every meal, have a cup of boiling water.

Controlling hunger can be done through Acupressure. Points in the middle of the upper lip, right below the nose, and an inch above and below the belly button when activated seem to control hunger.
